Journey to Centre of Campus – Final Goodbyes

London memories…

My last blog entry entitled The paradox of time seemed like an appropriate segway to open and close my final blog on. As I’m sure most of you can relate to, time has flown by and it’s hard to conceive that October to June could be so shortly spaced together. For some students, myself included, the school year has not quite ended as we work towards finishing our thesis projects.

My intentions to embark on the ‘blended learning’ programme was to cultivate a global network, take advantage of on and off-campus resources and reflect on the many lessons the modules and my overall experience has taught me. My hope is that my #journeytothecentreofcampus blogs and Instagram posts were valuable to other students traveling to or considering the blended learning programmes at LSHTM.

I struggle to find my final words to leave you with, after six months has already passed since my time in London. The blended learning programme offered a memorable experience that I believe has created a launching pad into my career in global public health. I hope that other distance learners will be inspired to document their experiences and bridge the gaps of distance to fellow future colleagues.

All the best to you and your future careers!

Jillian

Jillian is studying the MSc in Public Health by distance learning in Canada. She took two blended learning modules on campus in London.
