Fortunately for me, I managed to pass all my year 1 subjects for the BSc Economics and Management. Honestly, I am just relieved that I don’t have to repeat year 1.
I was very worried that I had to repeat year 1 because I knew I made some severe mistakes in my exams. The thought of repeating year 1 really wrecked me. Thus, when I found out that I passed, I was definitely very happy.
Some of my university mates are unhappy with their average results. However, even though my results were very average, I am not unhappy or discouraged.
If anything, I feel motivated and pumped up for year 2.
I choose not to be disappointed in my year 1 grades because I feel that being disappointed won’t help me. So, I choose to just accept my year 1 results and silently resolve to do very well in year 2 and year 3.
Just because my grades were average in year 1 doesn’t mean that I can’t get First Class Honours. There is still year 2 and year 3. I just need to do very, very well in year 2 and year 3.
I remember a saying that goes, “To win the game, one must stay in the game.”
Thus, the fact that I am still in the game means that I can still win the game.
It means that there is still a chance to do better and be better.
Therefore, I don’t think my university mates and myself should fret over my grades.
If anything, we should see it as something to push us to do better in year 2 and year 3.
I am also glad that I had a really good summer break and because of that, I feel even more ready for year 2.
If anything, I am very excited for year 2.
Anyhow, I really hope that everyone had good results~!
And if they didn’t, I hope they don’t fret over it.
Because it isn’t over.
And even if it is, it’s alright.
Life goes on and everything will be alright.
